Partnerships and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP’s) operate in similar way to the Self-Employed for tax purposes, (although the Partnership will need to prepare a Partnership Self Assessment return in addition to the Self Assessment Returns of the individual Partners). As a Partnership it is quite likely that there will be VAT matters to consider.


Another feature of Partnerships and LLP’s is the Partnership Agreement. This is not a legal requirement, but it sets out the roles and responsibilities of each Partner, and also deals with what happens in the event of a dispute.
