Corona Virus Update

Here at TSA we are still working.  Under government orders we've had to close the office, but the team are all working hard from home and hope to be back in the office in May.  However, now that the lock down has eased a little ware able to have meetings in person, and we are still able to support our clients through telephone, e-mail and through video conferencing like Skype or Zoom. We are still able to take on new clients.  Everything can be done electronically. In these very difficult times for small businesses. We've also been keeping our clients updated on the financial help available from government and helpful advice on how to manage the business finances through these uncertain times.  Our latest update is on our blog, so please feel free to have a read and share it if you like to those you think may benefit. If you would like to receive updates yourself, please drop us an e-mail at and we'll make sure you are added to the list to receive them.

Free Tax saving tip:  Electric cars!

Are you in the market for a new car?  Have you had cars on personal contracts or owned personally because having a company car is so prohibitive?  Well how about going electric?  Electric cars now are going mainstream.  with mileage between charges over 200 miles and in some cases 300, there's no need for charging anxiety.  The BIK rates for fully electric cars are at 2% for the next couple of years, meaning no more colossal BIK rates on company cars. And better still if your car is under £35,000 the government will give you a £2500 grant towards your car.  Several manufacturers have cars under the £35,000 threshold so there's never been a better time to go electric and show off your green credentials to your customers.

We'd steer clear of Tesla however.  Pardon the pun but we found their practices shocking.  The Tesla 3 is lightening fast with 0-60 in under 5 seconds, however, it's not as fast as their customer service which disappears even quicker than that once you've ordered. Having ordered our car we found ourselves thousands of pounds out of pocket and now without a car from the 18th of May with Tesla having agreed one price and then within 3 weeks and just prior to delivery increasing it with no notice by over £1000.  You can get the full story here on trust pilot, and see many other reviews.  We don't normally post things like this, but sharp practices deserve to be called out so in this case we've made an exception.  Communication is terrible, commitment to their customers is non-existent and honouring prices is an alien concept. If you've been the victim of Tesla's sharp practices we'd love to hear from you. If you've gone for a different brand, well done, you dodged a bullet.
